I’m flying out from Cape Breton to Toronto to see Modest Mouse open for REM Sunday (REM was my favourite band growing up/MM has been my fave band ever since). Can’t wait, but please consider coming to Atlantic Canada sometime, too.

I have a question that has been perplexing me for some time now(really only about 5 days but none the less troublesome). I just saw you guys in Berkeley at the Greek and you guys kicked ass you guys even rocked out your new songs like the older albums. But the crowd was not there to see modest..they were full of REM fans…which brings me to my question why are you guys touring with REM? Don’t get me wrong the show was awesome, I didn’t even stay for REM, I tried to meet you guys in the parking lot cause i’d rather just here REM in background if that. But you guys have been around way to good to be opening for other people especially REM. You guys should do some shows with Broken like that summer I saw you in Toronto. That was still to this day one of the best shows ever. Sorry for the rant.

it’s nice to know everyone you know loves them.everyone i’ve ever asked doesn’t or only knows the songs on the radio.except for my friends back in arkansas.they love them too.not only the popular songs but all their 9 cds.oh, and i just found another cd, Modest Mouse/764-HERO - Whenever You See Fit.i listened to a few of the songs on the internet.it sounds good.i would love to meet someone that loves Modest Mouse as much as i do!my boyfriend does though but he also lives in arkansas.he’s going to the orlando concert too.

I saw the REM/MM/TN show in LA (Hollywood Bowl). I agree with Free Bird (in Berekley) who said we need a show with MM only, where you can play a longer set, although I think that both REM an The National did a great job.
I would’ve liked to hear songs from Sad Sappy Sucker and This is a Long Drive… I’ve been listening to you for ten years, and have seen you perform in Wilmington (at a hole-in-the-wall), Spaceland (LA), the Hollywood Athletic club and the Hollywood Bowl over the last decade. I interviewed Isaac in 1998 for KUCI 88.9FM in Irvine, California. We talked a bit about Snapple iced tea.
The band has made some great additions, and I have to say, you are still one of my all-time favorites. You’re the best!

Ok i am a 8th grader from tampa florida and i have only met two guys at my school who have even herd of modest mouse. i stared listening to them when i was 9 and i love modest mouse i love, like every song and every thing about this band im even searching thrift stores and mens departments trying to find plaid shirts its crazy. anyway kills me to know i cant see u in orlando becuse apparently “i cant go to conserts” one corny request Pat i wanna picture of modest mouse with micky mouse ikd why. You guys rocked so hard and fast at the Mann this week. I just booked tix for the show at the Ice garden. I cant wait for a full set. No offense to R.E.M. but you blew the doors off those cats!! I’m so soory about the crowd their that night. They were there for the main act and were certainly not indicative of how Philly feels and fiends about and for Modest Mouse! Absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait for the 30th!!! God Bless!!!

i have been listening to you guys since 5th grade. I’m now 18. Im not sure what it is about isaac’s songwriting but mouse is one of two bands that should be allowed to make music. Please come to philly or jersey, I tried to make it to the June 30th show but my car broke down before i could even make it halfway. i saw you guys with REM at the Mann center but it was just not the same as a mouse concert. i think i was one of three mouse fans there. i was standing right in front. im not sure if you guys even read this, i doubt it because of the mass quantities of replies. Please come to philly, believe it or not there are long-time fans and listeners that would appreciate it. PS: a belated congradulations on your fiance isaac. i hope all is well with everyone.

Issac, I was the (old) redhaired guy with the beard in the front row in St. Louis, right in front of you - sorry I didn’t know more of the words - but I had a hell of a time. I was there to bring my 13-year-old son from Chicago; we drove down for his first concert. I’d seen some vids and listened to a few tracks but my son, of course, knew the words. I think you put the potted plant (plant of pot?) in front of me to block out the Ancient One, bad karma or something in a room full of screaming 20-somethings. I totally understand.
But you all are a terrific band, great energy, great musicianship, and I’ve seen some huge bands up close, from back to the Police in 1981.
And I LOVE your sense of humor, man.

please put a version of “the population is you” on that new ep. it’s a rockin song, and nobody ever gets to hear isaac roar like that on cd. also, marr’s guitar riff in that is amazing. it needs to be recorded on cd. or vinyl, whatever. i would probably listen to it about a thousand times a day.

Modest mouse you guys are ridiculous. The lyrics that are written are genious. When you play people can feel that you feel your own music. It has substance and depth, and when you hear the music being played and isaac singing, you feel it to. Come to Ohio.

um, yes, hello…i’m here to agree with comment # 18 please. I saw you guys were coming to chicago and i was all giddy and then I realized REM was headlining and it’d be a crowd of confused 40/50 year olds and a short winded set by you guys. don’t you ever tease like that again! I saw a show in jacksonville at the jack rabbit a long time ago and then again in nashville after good news came out. The only songs those assholes acknowledged was “float on” i don’t care what people say, i thought the album was an internal ear party. Come back and get bat shit crazy.

I just started listening to MM when I was on holidays in Australia earlier this year. I was in this clothes shop and I could hear ‘Float on’ playing in background, I got the assistant to find out who this amazing song was by. From that day I have been listening to the Mouse ever since. A top band ! When are they comming over to England ? Get over to Manchester lads you would love it here. c’mon the mouse. avit!
