Me and my friends saw modest mouse at the hollywood bowl on thrusday and i loved the fact we were the only ones in our section going mad over them and when they pulled out Truckers Atlas we lost our minds all the old people who where there to see REM said “wow, you girls must love these guys.”

My friend and I lifeguard in Manasquan, New Jersey and one day we sat on the stand and listened to modest mouse from the start of the day to the end just interpreting everything song and what we thought was being explained. Not much better then sitting on the beach on a beautiful day listening to modest mouse.

I saw Modest MOuse at the hollywood bowl also and they were fantastic….i went psycho when they played “CockRoach” but I just felt that the REM crowd didn’t really match with the Modest Mouse crowd who was so scattered. I felt like i was the only person in my section who was singing and dancing…and everyone else was like what the fuck is she doing? This was the third time I’ve seen Modest Mouse and I think you guys were ur best in Las VEgas at the Joint. Smaller venues with your real fans are way better…then old farty ReM fans who dont even know who u are.

Uhm…People…they aren’t looking for stories posted here. Regardless, those stories were poorly done, with practically no context and hardly a climax. Nice…

I’m sending in a few pictures I’ve doctored up, and probably a story of when I was at the Nashville show last year, and why I never went to Deer Park in Vanny.

    Love you guys

I believe Modest Mouse should do another “Side- Ugly Casanova” thing or get back with them and make another mind blowing self changing album. just an opinion. I have seen them live about 6 times now within 4 years, and I love them to death, they remind me of my brother the most who died of a car accident. wierd but it works…

I’ve seen MM several times (around Md.) over the last 4+ years. Kimba and I are gettin’ ready to check them out tonight @ Merriweather. Awesome venue… can’t wait. Their playing with a band whose name means “Rabid Ear Monument” (or something like that). Just foolin’ – REM is cool… unfortunately we can’t stick around for their whole set.
I plan on posting the set list here after the show. Not sure why but I can never find their set lists posted anywhere. Then again perhaps I’m not really looking.
Here’s to drinking away the part of the day that you can not sleep away (greatest freakin’ lyric ever written!!!)

I saw modest on 3/19 in Fargo the night before We were dead came out. Me and my friends waited in the van outside playmakers all day and I ended up FRONT ROW, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ISAAC. As kick ass as that already is, I remember yelling “Isaac Brock for president,” in between songs. He looked at me, laughed, and said “No man, you wouldn’t want that. I’d be stealin’ from the company.” Isaac in true form. I’ll never forget it.

I have seen modest mouse seven times and in four different states and have tickets for the Baltimore show in March (so excited). So much of my life has been accompanied by the tunes that you guys have composed. The show that sticks out most vividly in my mind would have to be the day you played at Virgin Mobile Fest in Baltimore. It was like 100 degrees all day and you guys were 2nd to last on the smaller stage (which I feel was unjust). You were the only reason I bought the outrageously expensive tickets and traveled the 5 hours from Pittsburgh to Baltimore. I had been drinking, smoking, and eating drugs all day and could barely stand by the time you guys got on stage. If i recall you were a little late but I didn’t give a shit. You played my favorite song, Talking Shit About a Pretty Sunset. I don’t know if it was the drugs or the alcohol but I cried and then threw up. Hahaha It was amazing. Thank you for that moment in my life that I will always remember!

With love from the keystone state

One of my friends was tripping acid one day. We started talking about how we see things in life. My tripping friend starting freaking out, and apologized for rambling so long about things that proabably didn’t make sense to me, in the real life. I said to him “It’s okay. Its like that Modest Mouse song ‘i ran my mouth off a bit too much oh what did i say. Well you just laughed it off it was all okay.” FLOAT ON!

    i love you mouse. really.. : )

For my 17th birthday my mom surprised when she showed me the tickets to the Modest Mouse concert. I never thought it was gonna happen for two reasons, one, i live in Sacramento and the concert was in Oakland, and two, because we are being evicted from our home and have very little money. I was super excited to see you guys because Modest Mouse is my all time favorite band. Isaac Brock is my hero no doubt about it.
So when that sunday came my mom and my step dad gave me a what money they had and drove my friend and i down to the Fox Theater in Oakland.
When we got there, the line for t-shirts and cd’s was ridiculous but hopped in it anyways. I bought a shirt and then went to the floor to try and make my way to as close as i could get to the stage. When i got as close as i could my friend and i waited. Felt like forever for MM to come on. But totally worth it!
Mid way through the concert my friend and I decided it was to hot and tiring to be in the very front of the crowd and got out. Thats when i purchased another shirt and a cd while kicking it in the Back.
Thanks for playing such an amazing concert!!!

    Your ultimate fan,

Here’s my story……! I was born, a bunch of bad stuff happened, I listened to modest mouse the whole time, then I died…………yep……..that’s pretty much how it goes.

I’ll be seeing you in myrtle beach. This time I won’t act all star struck and scare Eric Judy.
    Don’t forget the super glue!
