The project or session i called laundry songs, was recorded in a months time at monkeyclaus recording studio

in beautiful nelson county virginia. it involved friends coming from a variety of backgrounds and bands

<(the fugs, elliott smith, hickey and the statler bros. to name a few).

right now, it looks like there will be 11 songs on the record with titles including

“the night sky” , “hold on to what you got” and “the last saturday of the year”.

the music is based on riffs and ideas i have been gathering for quite some time

and earlier this year seemed like the right time to record it all. abel okugawa and raphael wintersberger

were able to capture the ideas and create some amazing tones and sonic wonderfullness.

scott mcpherson layed down a majority of the drum tracks and matt rissler is featured on guitar throughout the record.

there are other contributors including darell hyden, terry la fon, austin fitch, matt boyle, rob whiddicomb and coby batty. -Tom

I look forward to hearing something that you & Coby have worked on in beautiful Nelson County – we almost moved there but decided on the other side of the mountain in Staunton. I took my daughter to see MM in C’vlle for her birthday (a teen now – yikes). The show was fantastic and you looked like an adorable Pied Piper leading all the children to the tour bus.

Go Tom! Man I’d love to hang with you guys again sometime.. this growing up and settling down business sucks.
Bout a year or so ago I found a King Sour CD “nipple” in the CD bin at Cash Converters in Va Beach.. very surreal flashback..had to shell out a buck for it… forgot to demand they send you guys a royalty check.

hey Tom, I’ve been keeping up a bit with your continued musicianings, glad it has all panned out. I keep thinking about the Breadwinner +/or Mao Tse Helen and King Sour shows we used to do together, particularly at Kings Head Inn in Norfolk hahaha. rock. if you need a drummer for a tune I’m here.

    Awesome stuff!

Can anyone tell me how I can get another copy of Nipple? Some jerk stole mine along with my entire CD collection. Forget the rest of my collection, just gimme my King Sour cd back!
