‘Satellite Skin’ 7” single on May 26th

satelliteskinModest Mouse has announced they will release their ‘Satellite Skin’ 7” single on May 26th. This collector 7” will be on limited edition orange vinyl with an embossed sleeve and individually numbered to 4000. The never-before-released track ‘Satellite Skin’ is backed with another new track, ‘Guilty Cocker Spaniels.’ This special vinyl will be available nationally at retail, with the songs also offered on iTunes.

On May 13, ‘Satellite Skin’ will make its audio premiere on MySpace. The video for ‘Satellite Skin’ was directed by Kevin Willis (Tool) and will make its debut on MySpace on May 15    . www.myspace.com/modestmouse

On May 18 you can get the first listen to ‘Guilty Cocker Spaniels’ on Stereogum.

    Hey guys, on the vinyl special release, can you indicate where the closest retailer to Shreveport, LA is that will carry the release?

    Thanks guys – I’m a huge fan amd avid vinly collector. Great show in Oxford by the way. The atmosphere was charged to say the least.

    How are you gonna spread 4000 copies across the entire nation? Really? I can name 100 individuals in my city alone that will go out and try to find this. And I’m sure there are more than 40 cities in which Modest Mouse has fans.

    new modest mouse music always moves me.
    we were dead was released right as i was leaving iraq and i just lay in a cot with it on repeat for days in kuwait
    just got that same feeling from satellite skin :)

    when you say Kevin Willis (TOOL), do ya mean the guy who makes the TOOL music videos? there seems to be an element of TOOL-ishness to the Satellite Skin Video, still pretty awsome

    Our copies that me & my friends ordered weren’t numbered (or actually one of them was), but anyways 4 didn’t have any kind of number. How’s this possible? It seems all genuine but it’s missing the number. Maybe few went through without getting a number?
