what a sweet observation this pic is, indeed. i love how small the people look. pretty cool of the engineers, too, to blend the cement and rocks like that, or, make the damn and canal thing sort of form with nature – not sure what that’s called, or how to articulate what i see — its just, i guess its like the canal and damn are sort of sculpted out of the natural topography — there is some kind of respect of nature going on there, even if for just the beauty part of it. thanks for grabbing it on your cam. peace.

Great shot Pat! I flew 6 flights, 7 cities, 3 states, 12 hours to see that show and it was worth it!

I remember hearing on a college tour that the bridge (and I think the dam as well) was designed by Gonzaga students for an engineering class, they did a great job. This is a great photo of it, nice job Pat!

Cool photo of one of the many man-made atrocities committed against nature. I bet the salmon don’t run up that river anymore – and if they do, the volume is nothing compared to the past.

I know! They should change the name of Spokane to Minnow Brook…

Adam, shut it. This is a beautiful tribute to human superiority and our dominion over all living things.

i’ve stared at the sight in this picture many-a-time in person, being a spokane native. plenty of those times i have been watching and feeling those falls race toward the ocean while listening to modest mouse on my mp3 player. it is amazing to see one of my favorite sights in the world on my favorite band’s website. i finally got to see you guys live. i am 32 and it was the single most satisfying moment of my life. you guys make the music that defines my life. thank you so much for existing. keep it comin!
